Creative Totnes Series: Nkuku

Each month Studioamano will be sharing news and insights into all things creative in Totnes.

Having recently worked with Nkuku, assisting their Creative Design Manager and photographic team on set with preparing product for the Spring/Summer 2020, Home and Lifestyle Editorial photo and video shoot, we thoroughly recommend a visit to:

Nkuku

Lifestyle Store & Cafe

Brockhills Barns, Harbertonford Totnes, Devon, TQ9 7PS

Located in a courtyard of barns the store showcases collections of stylish homewares, furniture and accessories. A treasure trove of Indian antiques and unique reclaimed pieces. Nkuku create beautifully handmade home and lifestyle products working with artisans throughout the world, combining timeless design with traditional skills and natural materials such as, cotton paper, recycled glass, hemp, rattan, natural stone, jute, mango wood, ceramic, leather, recycled metal and hand etched metal.

At Studioamano we particularly love the beautiful range of ceramic tableware, in particular the Ama range, created by hand with its striking black splatter design and a tactile smooth glaze. The mezzanine has a collection of beautiful bespoke sofas, all handcrafted in the UK in a range of fabrics and colours. At Studioamano we love the Marri Sofa, upholstered in pure Brera linen in a sophisticated palette of six subtle shades.

The Nkuku Café serves the finest artisan, wood roasted coffee and the pretty courtyard features a covered seating area. All of the ingredients are sourced with great care from the best quality produce, working closely with local Devon suppliers.
