Shower Room Design - How to create a luxurious experience

1

Open Up and Let in The Light

Our top tip is to make the shower area as wide and open as you possibly can. If the shower has to be enclosed, then go for a glass shower screen, with as little visible metal frame on show as possible. Go for frameless glass screens for the most open look. Sliding doors allow more space for movement in the rest of the room. The smaller the room, the lighter the space should be. Maximise the natural light from windows and opt for light tone paint colours, to reflect and maximise the light around the space. Make sure the room is well lit by electric lighting, especially near mirrors and remember that a diffused light source is always more forgiving to the complexion.

2

Water Therapy

Water of varying temperatures is known to be a therapeutic agent. Opt for a large shower head with controls that allow a luxurious flow of water, to create a spa atmosphere.

3

Visual Feature

The tiles shown in the image above were chosen to create a feature in the shower room. The vintage pattern and patina on the tiles have a visually soft look that is easy on the eye.

4

Fixtures and Flushes

In what is a smaller space, the fixtures and fittings have been chosen for their soft sleek lines. The WC has a soft-close lid and the flush button is a sleek design that is easy to press, allowing a varying water flush.

5

Luxurious Accessories

When choosing accessories and products, Studioamano like to specify natural aromatherapy room sprays, hand creams and body wash. We particularly like products with more woody, sensual scents and a vintage look, often in brown glass bottles. Remember to consider recyclability and environmental benefits when choosing products.
